COMMUNICATIONS STAFF HONORED FOR PR EXCELLENCE

Richland One’s Office of Communications received three awards and two honorable mentions through the S.C. Chapter of the National School Public Relations Association’s 2008 Rewards for Excellence Program.

SC/NSPRA’s Rewards for Excellence Program recognizes outstanding communications and public relations efforts by South Carolina schools, school districts, education agencies and associations. This year’s awards were presented during a ceremony on April 18 at the Columbia Conference Center.
 
The Office of Communications received the following honors and awards:

	Publications and Electronic Media Award for the Richland One Web site (www.richlandone.org) - Mitch Wyatt, Web administrator
	Publications and Electronic Media Award for the Dateline One back-to-school publication - Charlton Cain, senior communications editor
	Publications and Electronic Media Award for the Richland One: Discover the Urban Advantage CD - Mitch Wyatt, Web administrator
	Honorable Mention for "Inside Richland One" on Richland One TV - Chrystal Burgess, media production specialist
	Honorable Mention for the Richland One brochure - Tommy Flowers, project design specialist (Richland One Printing Services)
