Dreher dancers ready to ‘hook’ audiences with their performance of Peter Pan
Soar through the sky, swim with the mermaids and watch the pirates battle with Dreher High School’s dance rendition of Peter Pan! The spring dance concert will run April 30-May 2 at 7 p.m. in the Dreher High School auditorium. Blending several dance styles together, this ballet will have you "hooked" on the talent at Dreher High School.
Dreher dance director Kathleen Lee has assembled a dynamic cast possessing explosive energy and technical dance skills that will leave the audience wanting more! The lead role of Peter Pan will be danced by junior Zola Collins. Other character roles include: Dana Witkoski as Tinkerbell, Kirby Aull as Wendy, Berkeley McKeown as Tiger Lilly, Cole Higgins as the Crocodile, Joshua Alexander as Captain Hook, Whitney Martin as John and Erica Sexton as Michael.
"These high school students are extraordinary dancers," said Lee. “Many people from the community don’t realize the pre-professional quality we produce in our dance program. I always have audience members leaving our concerts saying they can’t believe these are high school students performing! This production is no different. It’s a great family event."
Tickets can be purchased at the Dreher auditorium ticket booth starting at 6 p.m. the evenings of the concert. Adult admission is $5 and student tickets are $3.
