HARLEM WIZARDS TO PERFORM AT APRIL 18 FUND-RAISER GAME

If you’re looking for something fun to do that the whole family can enjoy, plan to be at Lower Richland High School next week.

The Mill Creek Elementary School PTA is bringing the Harlem Wizards, a professional entertainment basketball team that has toured around the world, back to Columbia. The fund-raiser game will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, April 18 in the Lower Richland High gym, 2615 Lower Richland Blvd. Doors will open at 6 p.m.

The Harlem Wizards feature some of the world’s top basketball talent. Their games mix periods of competitive, fast-paced basketball action with parts that are mostly for laughs. Theatrics, tricks and alley-oops are part of the show, and every game is filled with surprises. There will be a free autograph session and students will get a chance to participate in the half-time show.

Tickets are on sale at the Mill Creek Elementary office, 925 Universal Drive. Advance tickets are $8 for students and senior citizens, $10 for adults. Tickets purchased at the door are an additional $2 each. Children under 4 will be admitted free. For more information, call Mill Creek Elementary at 783-5553.
