Richland One School Board Members Recognized for Training Achievement

Two members of the Richland One Board of School Commissioners have earned recognition in the South Carolina School Boards Association (SCSBA) Boardmanship Institute, a year-round training program that helps board members develop skills and knowledge of current state and national educational issues.

Richland One Board Chairwoman Wendy Brawley and Commissioner Jeanette McBride, who serves as the Board’s secretary-treasurer, progressed to the third level of the six-level training program. They were recognized during the association’s annual convention on Hilton Head Island on March 1.

The Richland One school board also was among those honored for having 100 percent of its members participate in the association’s Boardmanship Institute.
