RICHLAND ONE BOARD TO BEGIN SUPERINTENDENT SEARCH

The Richland One Board of School Commissioners is preparing to conduct a national search for a new superintendent.

"All applicants - those from inside the district, elsewhere in South Carolina and other parts of the country - will be considered," said Board Chairwoman Wendy Brawley.

As part of the initial search process, the Board will hold focus group sessions to gather public input, as well as a series of employee input sessions. The dates and locations of the sessions will be announced as soon as they are finalized.

Following the search process, the Board will make its final decision on the selection of the superintendent.
