Richland One Adult Education Office To Offer a Variety of Classes

Interested in changing careers or sharpening your job skills? Richland One’s Adult Education Department will be offering a variety of classes this spring.


National ParaPro Assessment Exam Preparation Class
This 10-week course will help individuals prepare to take the National ParaPro Assessment, a national exam anyone interested in becoming an instructional assistant must pass in order to qualify for that position at any school in the country. After completing the course, students will have the opportunity to take the ParaPro Assessment online.

Registration Deadline: February 11
Class dates: February 19-May 1, Tuesdays and Thursdays
Time: 3:30 - 5:30 p.m.
Cost: $50

Introduction to Computers/Word
Students will learn the basics of computers, such as how to use Windows, work with files and use Microsoft Word. This course is for the beginner.

Class dates: Begin March 10, Mondays and Wednesdays
Time: 10 a.m. - noon
Cost: $10

Introduction to Microsoft Office Applications
This course allows students to learn the Microsoft Office Suite ad its applications including a review of Word and introductions to Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher. A basic knowledge of computers, keyboarding and Windows is required.
