Collection barrels were placed at nine sites throughout the school district from January 7-11. The food drive was a joint effort of Richland One, the Martin Luther King Memorial Foundation Committee and the City of Columbia.
Collections were made at a number of schools including A.C. Moore Elementary, Logan Elementary, Carver-Lyon Elementary, Alcorn Middle, Sanders Middle, Southeast Middle, Eau Claire High, and Lower Richland High.
