Title I Lab Request Form

Richland Clicks! is a U.S. Department of Education Technology Innovation Challenge Grant that ended September 2002. Out of this grant a Mobile Technology Van was developed that served all Richland One Schools as well as the community. The focus of instruction was Math, Language Arts and Technology using standards-based software for students, parents and teachers of Richland School District One. Supplies, service, maintenance and miscellaneous expenses for the Mobile Van and its equipment were all paid through the Richland Clicks! Grant. However, Title I did provide some financial support to the mobile van program.

As a result of the grant ending, Richland One’s Title I Department has envisioned "The LAB" The Learning Adventure Bus that will provide over and above what was offered through the Mobile Technology Van. The curriculum will focus on Hands-On Science, Math Manipulatives, Language Arts Integration and Technology Integration. The van will serve Title I schools, students, teachers and parents. Involving parents will be a significant goal of the LAB as Title I successfully prepares students for the PACT Test. Title I will assume all cost of The LAB, which include supplies, service, maintenance and miscellaneous expenses.

Title I feels that this additional program will provide Title I students with the twenty-first century skills of experimentation and analysis that will adequately prepare them for the PACT test as well as for their future.
