Strategy 3 Specific Results

  1. Evaluate the organizational staffing structure and implement any recommended changes.
  2. Define clearly the mission and role of the Human Resources Division with an emphasis on training in customer service, school support and responsiveness.
  3. Develop and implement a total compensation package (classified/certified/substitutes), which will attract and keep highly qualified employees.
  4. Implement a comprehensive leadership development system for certified and classified staff.
  5. Revise and utilize all relevant and current materials to increase the focus of the district’s vision, mission and values as recruitment tools.
  6. Identify, collect and utilize data to improve the effectiveness of recruitment and hiring processes for all categories of employment.
  7. Increase the number of highly qualified staff and provide incentives for them to work in low-performing schools.
  8. Improve the quantity and quality of substitute teachers.
  9. Establish an incentive program for high need areas such as math, science, special education, etc.
  10. Increase the focus and resources given to improve school climate and its impact on employee retention.
