Strategy 1 Specific Results

1. Implement research-based instructional delivery models (K-2, 3-5, 6-8, 9-12) that are interactive, student-centered and incorporate real-world connections.
   
2. Develop and implement a variety of assessment tools and resources that appropriately and accurately measure students’ progress toward meeting standards.
   
3. Develop guidelines and strategies for reducing non-instructional teacher tasks and non-instructional student activities in order to ensure more effective use of instructional time.
   
4. Select a learning community model(s) for district-wide implementation.
   
5. Create opportunities in the district for increased staff participation in leadership experiences.
   
6. Implement a system for providing ongoing training and assistance for existing and potential instructional leaders in the district.
   
7. Provide teachers with structured, uninterrupted time to plan/organize for rigorous and meaningful instruction (as a part of their work schedule).
   
8. Design a process for organizing, reviewing, managing and using instructional tools and resources that are designed to support classroom instruction.
   
9. Develop a system for providing services/resources to parents and the community that enable them to support meaningful academic engagement and student learning.
