A.
Disposal of Surplus and Unserviceable
Property
1.
Regulations for Sale, Lease, Transfer
and Disposal. The District shall
promulgate regulations governing:
a.
the sale, lease, or disposal of surplus
and unserviceable supplies by public
auction, competitive sealed bidding or
other appropriate methods designated
by such regulations;
b.
the transfer of excess supplies and equipment
between locations and departments.
2.
Allocation of Proceeds from Sale or Disposal
of Surplus. The sale of all District
owned supplies, equipment or property
not in actual public use shall be conducted
and directed by Purchasing Services.
Such sales shall be held at such places
and in such manner as in the judgment
of the Procurement Officer will be most
advantageous to the District. Unless
otherwise determined, sales shall be
by either public auction or competitive
sealed bid to the highest bidder. The
Procurement Officer shall deposit the
proceeds from such sales to an account
of the general fund or capital fund.
3.
Trade-in Sales. The District may
trade-in property, the trade-in value
of which may be applied to the purchase
of new items. |
