Software Guidelines

Prior to the acquisition of any software schools and departments first must consult the ITS Website for approved software. Software NOT on the approved list must be sent to the Electronic Resources Committee for review and approval.

 

1.
 Information Technology will provide technical support for the following networked software, and ITS will provide specific application support. 
 

The district adopted E-mail system: GroupWise

The district adopted student information system: SASI

The district adopted management information system: MUNIS

The district adopted spreadsheet application: Excel

The district adopted database application: Access

The district Media software application: Spectrum

The Accelerated Reader software program and its associated modules.

Windows 2000 and  XP

Norton Enterprise Antivirus Software 

Webroot AntiSpyware Software 

2.
 Installation, maintenance and support of specialized software applications must be included with the purchase of the software.
3.
Information Technology support staff will not install or support any software that is not properly licensed. A software license and proof of purchase must be available before a technician installs any software. At least one single license comes with all purchased software. Any software not properly licensed will be removed by Information Technology upon discovery.
