Priority School Program
Priority and district intervention schools are those schools identified to receive additional resources, including increased staff, smaller class sizes and professional development. Students in these schools can most benefit by having teachers committed personally and professionally to individual student growth, who will actively invest in the school and community, who appreciate challenges and seek solutions, and who are willing to dedicate themselves to continuous improvement.
Candidates may receive signing and retention bonuses over a three year period of up to $9,000 when hired to teach in an Intervention school and up to $7,500 when hired to teach in a Priority School if they meet the established criteria listed below.
