Richland One is the state's seventh-largest school district. We educate 23,000 students who represent 41 countries and as many languages. Geographically, our district stretches over 482 square miles. Our 50 schools and centers are nestled in urban, suburban and rural communities, from downtown Columbia to St. Andrews to Lower Richland.

District JROTC Units Deploy for Educational Film Red Tails

At least 9 JROTC units from Richland One, Richland Two and Lexington//Richland 5 will meet as a group for a special private showing of the new movie Red Tails, which depicts the WWII exploits and heroics of the Tuskegee Airmen.

Richland One School Improvement Councils Honored

The School Improvement Councils (SIC) of two Richland One schools have been named to the South Carolina School Improvement Council’s 2012 Honor Roll. The SICs of Burton-Pack and Satchel Ford elementary schools were among 15 semi-finalists announced today.

Twenty-one Richland One teachers are among South Carolina’s 360 new National Board-certified teachers, bringing the district’s total number of teachers with the prestigious credential to 303.
